Goldendale Campout

The latest camp was held at Goldendale, Washington - an oasis of green nestled on the edge of the Columbia. The camp was held over an extremely warm Mothers day weekend, and the turnout from the scout mothers was impressive and very much appreciated by all.

The camp was focused on some outdoor activities - specifically Canoeing and Climbing. Roped Climbing was new to most of the boys and the training, setup and leadership was expertly managed by Joe Davis with help from Jay (an instructor from a local troop) and all the boys were able to experience the view of Mt. Hood and the gorge from the top of the cliffs. The Canoeing was a safety  introduction as a lead-in to an upcoming 2-day canoe trip.
