An annual tradition since 1986, Scouting for Food rallies Scouts across the nation to collect food for local food banks. Cascade Pacific Council Scouts collect food for the hungry and provide it to specific local food banks throughout the greater Northwest.   Tualatin Troop 530, Troop 35 and Pack 35 collected 7,746 pounds of non perishables during this year's event.  ALL donations were then distributed to the Tualatin Schoolhouse Food Pantry, so all donations goes directly to the local community.  The Scouts logged in more than 16 hours of community service and braved the rain and wind that was present on the days of distributing the collection bags, and collecting the non-perishables that are so needed at this time of the year.
