Summer Camp Flag Ceremony

Troop meetings:
Monday evenings at Tualatin Presbyterian Church at 7:00 pm. (The second Monday of each month, troop meetings are held at Bridgeport Elementary School). During the summer, troop meetings are held at the Tualatin City Park, Rustic Shelter, starting at 7:00pm. Please check Troop Calendar for current schedule.

Activities:
Troop 530 activities include: summer camping, winter camping, and monthly camping trips (except December), backpacking, rocket launching on the Oregon Coast, hiking, horseback riding and more. The troop program is what the Scouts decide at their planning meetings.  Additional activities, such as bowling, skiing, biking, rifle shooting, climbing, caving, canoeing and others are scheduled in as time allows. We strive to be a very active troop!

What You'll Learn:
Scouts have fun and learn responsibility, communication, leadership, service to and respect for others, and other life skills.  Scouting helps a boy grow and understand self-reliance and the importance of cooperation and community.  The Scout Oath and Law are the basis of this learning process.

Come Join Us:
Boys, ages 11 to 17 are welcome to join the Boy Scouts and be a part of Troop 530. You are welcome to visit us at any meeting.  Please check in by speaking to any adult who is wearing a uniform, we'll introduce you to the Senior Patrol Leader, and he'll introduce to the Troop.

Not Sure What you need to Know?
Choosing Boy Scouting is a recipe for adventure, but what about the dilema of which Troop to join?  This is a choice the  Scout should make for himself, since after all he is his own best judge of what fits with his ambition, and what works with his learning style.   Here are a couple of publications that can assist you with that:
